ELEMENTARY-II: SUMMARY

Build on your Elementary-I foundation, and earn certification to guide 9 through 12 year olds as they continue their adventures in learning about the world around us.  Adult Learners who complete this course and either already have their American Montessori Society (AMS) Elementary-I credential, or sucessfully complete their MMTTC Elementary-I program will be recommended to AMS for their Elementary I-II credential.

Prerequisites:

• Membership in American Montessori Society (AMS)
• AMS Montessori Certification in Elementary-I (from an AMS affiliated program) or current enrollment in MMTTC’s Elementary-I program

Advanced work in the following elementary subjects:

ELEMENTARY II: SCHEDULE

PHASE I (Summer 2024)

Lecture – Demonstrations of the Montessori Elementary-II curriculum and further discussions of the Montessori elementary philosophy.

• Schedule: Monday, June 24 - Friday, July 26, 2024
• Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM with 1/2 hour for lunch.
• Independence Day Holiday: No class on Thursday, July 4, 2024 & Friday, July 5, 2024.
• Location: Riverwoods Montessori School, 3140 Riverwoods Rd., Riverwoods, IL 60015

PHASE II (School Year 2024-25)

• Institutes - Two, 3-day institutes (Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays), one in fall 2024 and one in winter 2025.
